SLP-026: Stop & Think - Annotated Gigography Fanzine

Some bands are remembered for being touring machine, constantly on the road, playing countless shows, but you don't always need this to make a name for yourself. With just two demos and about 30-odd gigs mostly played in the US northeast around their Boston homebase over the course of a couple of years, Stop & Think still made enough of an impression that their name regularly appears when people discuss the best hc bands of the noughties.

To paraphrase the description from the SLP website, this zine is a "complete gigography featuring a list of every show played with commentary from band members along with new photos, flyers, set lists, artwork, and other interesting pieces of paper associated with the band.".

It's a great insight into a time and place in hardcore, but also into the dynamics and personnalities within the band itself. If you're indebted to the schools of Lockin Out' and Painkiller, if you swear by Boston hardcore, or just love a good anecdote and piece of hc lore, then this one's for you.
