SLP-031: Connecticut Hardcore Index

At the Gutter Groove HQ, we have a certain fondness for CTHC. From Jasta 14 & Dismay who we wrote about in GG #03, of course the holy trinity of Hatebreed/Death Threat/100 Demons, all the way to Groundzero and all the Clevocticut styled bands (Dead Wrong, Jagged Vision, Palehorse etc.) and many more (that Price Of Pain/Crown Of Kings split though!!).

So when Shining Life and contemporary fanzine mainstay Kyle Nyland team up to offer us a zine zooming in on all things CTHC, we couldn't be more happy. Filled with anecdotes and lore, flyers and pictures, it's great for both the neophyte but curious minds as well as for the seasoned listener who owns a copy of the Two By Four - Aints Ta Be Fucked With 7".

As the SLP description says it best: "this isn't the whole picture but a selected sampling of what the constitution state has to offer. Consider it a jumping off point for inquiring hardcore minds. Listen to Dismay - In Doubt while you purchase, wait, and read and then write about your scene/state and send it in so we can soak it up."
